MG Motor unveils its electric SUV car ZS
MG Motor India, a part of China's SAIC Motor Corporation, has unveiled its electric SUV model ZS. This is MG's second product in India after the Hector SUV.
The vehicle will come strapped with a 44.5 kWh battery, delivering a range of around 340 km on a single charge.
The ZS comes with a sky roof and an inbuilt air purifier.
This electric car comes with projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, Android Auto, Apple Car Play and the likes. Up-front, the large grille, which houses the charging port, dominates the fascia. The headlamps, with its integrated daytime running lights, look smart.
The expected price of MG ZS will be around Rs 25 lakh.
The official launch of the MG ZS EV is going to take place during the month of January 2020. The ZS model would be produced at the company's manufacturing facility at Halol, Gujarat. The company will start ZS sell with only five cities -- Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore.
The vehicle will compete against the likes of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Kona, the only other brand with an electric SUV in India.
